The Rossi R95 Trapper is a compact lever-action rifle chambered in .45-70 Govt. It has a 16.5-inch barrel, a black oxide finish, and walnut stock and forend. The fixed tubular magazine holds five rounds. The rifle weighs 6.4 pounds with an overall length of 35.5 inches, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for an optional optic.

The short barrel suits wooded terrain and close-range work, the setting the supplier names. The .45-70 chambering matches the big-game and backcountry use the supplier describes. Ohio's deer rifle rules allow three rounds at most, so this five-round tube is over that limit. The drift-adjustable front sight lets the owner correct the sight picture, and the drilled and tapped receiver allows an optic if the buyer prefers one.
