The Henry Big Boy Side Gate is a lever-action rifle chambered in .45 Colt with a 20-inch round blued barrel. It holds 10+1 rounds and can be loaded through a side gate, while the removable magazine tube allows easy unloading. The American walnut stock has deep checkering. Semi-buckhorn rear and brass bead front sights are standard, and the rifle weighs 8.68 pounds.

The side loading gate and removable magazine tube suit shooters who want flexible loading and unloading at the range or in the field. The supplier calls the chambering a traditional choice for smooth lever-action operation. Ohio's deer rifle rules allow three rounds at most, so this 10-round tube is not set up for deer as shipped. The 20-inch barrel and the American walnut stock with deep checkering set the rifle's handling, and the transfer bar safety helps prevent unintended discharge.
