Senate Bill 215 took effect in June 2022, and Ohio now has permitless carry. Franklin County allows up to four deer, the highest county limit in Ohio, because suburban herds need thinning. The nearest big public tract is Delaware Wildlife Area, half an hour north on the Olentangy.
