The Chiappa M1-22 Carbine is a semi-automatic .22 LR rifle built to mirror the handling of the original M1 Carbine. It has an 18-inch steel barrel with a blued finish, a wood stock and forend, and an alloy receiver. The rifle weighs 5.5 pounds and is 35 inches overall. Two 10-round magazines are included.

The straight-blowback action keeps the design simple to clean and maintain, according to the supplier. The M1-style sights and the receiver dovetail for a separate Picatinny rail suit training and recreational range time, and shooters who like the M1 layout will find the familiar trigger group a good match. The M1-style sights and trigger group are the design's signature, and the 18-inch barrel and 5.5-pound weight keep handling light. Two 10-round magazines come in the box.
