The Traditions Deerhunter Flintlock is a .50 caliber muzzleloader with a blued 24-inch octagonal barrel and a 1:48 twist. The barrel sits in a black synthetic stock. Fully adjustable Williams fiber optic metal sights are fitted, and the flintlock ignition gives the rifle a classic action. The supplier describes the rifle as light in the hand with solid field balance.

A 1:48 twist is aimed at a wide range of .50 projectiles, so the rifle can handle several bullet types. Ohio hunters who want a traditional flintlock will find the fiber optic sights useful in low light, as the supplier notes, and the rugged synthetic stock suits hunters who carry the rifle through varied ground. The black synthetic stock and fully adjustable fiber optic sights make this a practical choice for an Ohio hunter who wants a flintlock with modern sighting.
