This is a used Kinko Fuchi Kashira, catalogued under SKU MGJ293 in the Japanese swords, fittings and firearms group. The fuchi has a silver ishime ground with Sanskrit characters in gold. The kashira carries a character for Dainichi Nyorai, the almighty Buddha, while the character on the fuchi is not identified. The supplier lists the size as katana, and the piece is unsigned.

A set of fittings with Sanskrit lettering suits a collector who wants a katana-size piece with a religious theme. The unidentified character on the fuchi means the item is best viewed as a display or study example rather than a documented one. Check the photographs for the lettering before you buy, and compare the silver ground against your own reference pieces.
