The Winchester 1897 Takedown is a used 12-gauge pump-action shotgun made in 1917. It has a 28-inch round barrel with a 2 1/2-inch chamber and fixed full choke. The design uses a slam-fire action with an exposed hammer. The walnut furniture has been refinished and the metal reblued, and the stock has an added recoil pad with a 13.5-inch length of pull.

This shotgun suits an Ohio buyer who wants a historic takedown pump for a collection or for a traditional pump configuration. The supplier notes the bore is dark and pitted, while the action is smooth. The sling swivel base has been filled in as part of the refinishing. Because of the bore condition, a buyer should inspect the barrel closely before any use.
