The Mossberg 590A1 Magpul Series is a new 12 gauge pump-action shotgun with a 20-inch heavy-walled barrel and a Parkerized finish. It has a 3-inch chamber, an 8+1 capacity, and bead sights, and it measures 41 inches overall. The stock is a Magpul SGA with a length of pull from 13 to 14.5 inches. The forend is a Magpul MOE model with front and rear hand stops and support for MOE rails. The manual safety is ambidextrous and the weight is 7.75 pounds.

This configuration suits buyers who want a practical tactical-style pump shotgun for home defense, training, or field use, which is how the supplier describes it. The adjustable stock fits a range of shooter builds, and the MOE forend gives a mounting point for lights and other accessories. The optic ready setting is listed as no, so the bead sights are the standard sight picture.
