Build and finish
The Spartan’s housing starts as 6061-T6 aluminum forgings machined to ±0.001″ tolerances before receiving a matte black anodized finish. This isn’t a painted or coated part – the anodizing penetrates the base material for wear resistance that holds up to carbon buildup and solvent exposure.
Internal components use S7 tool steel for the hammer and sear, heat-treated to 50-52 HRC and finished with QPQ nitride. This combination provides a smooth trigger pull while maintaining durability beyond 50,000 cycles. The design eliminates creep through precise sear engagement angles rather than relying on spring tension adjustments.
Compatible platforms
- AR-15/M4 pattern rifles (mil-spec lower receivers)
- AR-9 PCC builds with mil-spec fire control groups
- Not compatible with Colt-style AR-9 bolts or polymer lowers
Installation notes
Drop-in installation requires standard armorer’s tools. The Spartan uses mil-spec hammer and trigger pins – no proprietary components or modified springs. Test function with safety checks before live fire.
