Eight years ago, Wilson Combat introduced the EDC X9, a firearm noted for its thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and reliable performance. The X9 further merged the iconic 1911’s design with modern features.

Now a sequel has arrived – the EDC X9 2.0, which Wilson Combat promises has built upon the foundation of its predecessor, featuring upgrades that deliver superior performance and reliability without sacrificing the visually striking aesthetics that have won widespread admiration since its debut.

The Knights Templar are remembered as being among the most skilled warriors during the Crusades, and while they never carried firearms – and certainly not polymer-framed semi-automatic handguns – the newly announced Camfour Customs Glock Templar from Shark Coast is just the sort of thing a 21st knight would wield.

The compact handgun is adorned with the Templar’s distinctive red cross shield on the grip, while the slide features the motto “I AM A CHILD OF GOD, A WARRIOR OF CHRIST.”

In 2021, Smith & Wesson announced their move from their long-time home in Connecticut to a 650,000-square-foot headquarters in Maryville, Tennessee. To celebrate this change in the company’s identity, Smith & Wesson is releasing a limited run of M&P9 and Shield Plus Tennessee Special pistols.

To celebrate their historic move to Tennessee, Smith & Wesson is releasing a run of M&P 9 Tennessee Special pistols.

Tennessee has been historically divided into West, Middle, and East. The tri-star state flag pays homage to this, and Smith & Wesson has laser engraved it into the barrels of its excellent M&P line of polymer-framed pistols.

“M&P striker-fired pistols have remained a cornerstone of Smith & Wesson’s legacy over the years and embody our brand’s ethos of reliability, performance, and durability. These extensions proudly bearing the engraved Tri-Star emblem are a tribute to our historic move and the rich heritage of our new home in Tennessee,” said Andrew Gore, Smith & Wesson’s Handgun Product Manager.

This limited run covers across several versions of the M&P. These include:

  • The M&P Shield Plus Microcompact 3.1-inch barrel, with and without a thumb safety.
  • The M&P 2.0 Double-Stack Compact 4-inch barrel and safety.
  • The M&P 2.0 Full Size 4.5-inch barrel and safety.

These pistols are chambered in 9mm Luger and are functionally the same as any other in the M&P line, suitable for deep concealment up to duty, save for a bit of Tennessee flair. The M&P Shield Plus models are available and have an MSRP of $549. The larger M&P compact and full-size models each have an MSRP of $669 and $679, respectively.

Though not limited to the American South, the area around the Mississippi River Delta is where we tend to think of “Bayou Country,” which is really any body of water typically found in a flat, low-lying area. It can include an extremely slow-moving stream, marshy lake, wetland, or creek. A bayou is further noted for its brackish water, which is often heavily wooded.

The unique colors of the wetlands served as an inspiration for the artisans at American Defense Manufacturing, which has introduced a new Bayou Camo pattern for its flagship UIC MOD 2 rifle. The Cerakote finish features a variety of different shades of green and grey that can help wearers blend in with forests, swamps, and, of course, bayous.

In addition to the bayou color palette, the UIC MOD 2 offers American Defense’s patented fully ambidextrous controls, which allow operators to actuate the bolt catch and release, along with magazine release from both sides. Each function of our ambidextrous controls is accessible while maintaining constant contact with the rifle grip for maximum effectiveness during duty or recreational use. The MOD-2 line of rifles further come standard with precision hand-lapped Criterion Barrels, G2S Precision 2-Stage Triggers, and your choice of suppressor-ready muzzle devices, including a Dead Air Keymo, Huxwrx, Surefire Warcomp, or Solgw NOX Keymount flash hiders.
